Melomy's, July-August, 2018
We returned to Melody’s wetlands for most of the rest of the year’s excursions. Somethings got rebuilt repeatedly. Many of these works were well established in their places by the time of the opening a the conclusion of the October residency. I think we would all agree that it became strongly attached to our affections. There is something magical about Melomy’s. You never want to leave and always want to return. It fosters encounters, discoveries, reverence, a quiet state where a poetic connection is inevitable. In Melomy’s you tread on a porous, peaty earth, a soaking up of the sea by the land; an affection and an intimacy between sea and land. You want to build a bridge, a portal, a dwelling. It tells you just what to build.
